La Mata is a charming town belonging to the Torrevieja region, located 40 km south of Alicante airport along the coast. The apartment project has a unique location in the centre of the town square at the north end of La Mata beach. From the building there are direct views to the square, the beach, and the turquoise Mediterranean Sea. Here you will find restaurants, bars, cafes, a church, and a bakery, open all year round. The town of La Mata has all the necessary amenities such as supermarkets, shops, a medical centre, pharmacy, banks, post office and more. Every Wednesday there is a large street market with approx. 250 stalls where can buy clothes, shoes, fruit, vegetables and much more. Popular with northern Europeans, the area is also a favourite holiday destination for people from the larger Spanish inland cities, such as Madrid. La Mata is best known for the impressive 2.5 km long blue flag beach with its promenade. The beach has for several years in a row been awarded European "Blue flag" status, thanks to good cleaning, safety, and water quality. Due to local zoning plans and the fact that La Mata is surrounded by three large, protected natural areas and of course the Mediterranean, the area will retain its status as a gem along the coast.

In the area you will find several fantastic hiking areas. To the west is the Parque Natural de La Mata, with the large Salt Lake “Laguna Salada”. This is a huge recreation area with hiking trails and a rich bird life. Just north of La Mata is another large natural area that stretches all the way to the neighbouring town of Guardamar del Segura. You can walk for miles along the beach in beautiful unspoilt natural surroundings. South of the town of Torrevieja is the Parque del Molino de Agua Park, with an abundance of hiking trails with low pine trees growing amongst the dunes. The park also has a waterfall that runs from the top of the park almost all the way down to the beach.

For those who like shopping, the Habaneras shopping centre is just 4.5 km away. The Habaneras complex offers a wide range of activities such as a cinema, bowling alley and arcade centre. The largest shopping centre on the Costa Blanca, La Zenia Boulevard, is 13 km south along the N332 coastal road. There are also find a wide selection of very good golf courses. Within a 30 minutes drive there are at least seven golf courses - including La Finca Golf, Villamartin, Las Ramblas Golf, Real Club de Campoamor Golf and the award winning Las Colinas Golf and Country Club. With direct access to the N332 coastal road, La Mata has good bus links to Torrevieja, the airport and Alicante.
